A Review of Migneauxia Jacquelin du Val, 1859 from the India subcontinent. Coleoptera: Latridiidae). Abstract. The genus Migneauxia Jacquelin du Val, 1859, with a small number of species known from Europe, Africa and Asia, was studied some years ago (Dajoz, 1966). Since then, revisional studies based on type material were made for the Palaearctic catalogue, resulting in several changes in nomenclature, especially where the name lederi Reitter, 1875 now takes precedence over orientalis Reitter, 1877 (Johnson, 2007). Two new species related to the Afghan M. subdola Johnson from a misplaced 1970s paper (Johnson, 1977a) during my time at the Manchester Museum, are now described and additional records given in this updated version.

Änderungen zur Nomenklatur der Latridiidae und Endomychidae, Merophysiinae in Mitteleuropa nach Revisionen im „Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera“ Band 4, Juni 2007. (Coleoptera: Latridiidae). Changes to nomenclature of Latridiidae and Endomychidae, Merophysiinae in Central Europe after revision in “Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera”, volume 4, June 2007. (Coleoptera: Latridiidae). Abstract. With the appearance of the 4th volume of the "Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera“ edited by I. Löbl & A. Smetana, significant changes to nomenclature turned out for Latridiidae (Johnson, 2007). We now have a clear and stable nomenclature for this family. Revisions and type studies necessarily invalidated names, described new species or defined new synonyms, affecting especially the volumes on Latridiidae in "Die Käfer Mitteleuropas“ (Rücker, 1992, 1998).

Restudies of type and other specimens (Colin Johnson) of Melanophthalma algirina Motschulsky, 1866, Melanophthalma angulata (Wollaston, 1864), Melanophthalma extensa Rey, 1889, Melanophthalma parvicollis (Mannerheim, 1844) and Melanophthalma taurica (Mannerheim, 1844) confirmed all taxa as valid species, especially with the help of a large number of further specimens of the Melanophthalma taurica species-group. Three new species are described: Melanophthalma andrewi sp. nov., Melanophthalma rispini sp. nov. and Melanophthalma rhenana sp. nov.. Detailed descriptions and figures of the male genitalia are provided. Zusammenfassung.
